Boobies

Instead of gargoyles on the Basilica there are boobies! At least, I think these are boobies. They have different animals from Ecuador gracing all sides of the Basilica. It’s quite fun!

The Basilica is a new cathedral in Old Town. We visited on Christmas Eve to see the nativity scene, although the lower section was closed off and we could only look down from the huge balconies. The Basilica is in pretty bad shape. Lots of broken windows, patches, crumbling concrete. It was a bit sad to see.
